FC Long Beach announces the start of a 12 week academy designed to provide the best soccer opportunities to young players in our community.  The FC Long Beach Academy is created to focus on player and coaching development for recreation players from LBYSO and AYSO, ages 6 - 9.  FC Long Beach Academy will provide USSF National level licensed club trainers to work with youth players once a week on Fridays for a 12-week period beginning January 23.  Academy members will also receive a full training kit, written player evaluations, fitness training and parent meeting with club sports psychologist to discuss player development and other topics.  The FCLB Academy will accept 12 players from each age group listed below.  We will also include a coaching mentor program for all new coaches.

FC Long Beach is announcing tryout dates for our current boys and girls teams U11 – U14. FC Long Beach is committed to placing priority on teaching skills and the development of our players.  Tryout participants must come prepared wearing shin guards and cleats. Tryouts will be on Friday, January 30 and Friday, February 6, 6:30-8 at Bancroft Middle School in Long Beach.
