Over 60 players from all over the US came to a three-day tryout in June. In the end, 11 were chosen, 3 from FC Long Beach.   Amanda Bolanos, Alyssa Bolanos and Jennifer Mejicanos from our GU18 team were chosen to play for Guatemala’s U20 Women’s National Soccer Team.  The FCLB girls traveled to Guatemala in August for two weeks to train and compete with their Guatemalan teammates in the CONCACAF U20 Women’s Championship.

FC Long Beach Academy will provide USSF Nationally-licensed club trainers to work with youth players once a week for a 10-week period. A strict trainer to player ratio is enforced to enhance instruction and attention to our young participants. A weekly course curriculum is followed by our trainers to focus on a variety skills and technique. Academy members will receive a full training kit, a written player evaluation, and fitness training. The academy is for boys and girls ages 5-12.
