JUSA Kick off Tournament

August 30-31.  Our youngest team, FCLB G99, finished as finalists in the JUSA Kick off Tournament.  The girls have been working hard all summer long, most practicing up to 3 times per week.  This weekend their hard work paid off as they finished 2nd overall and came home with a medal.  They can hardly wait to begin their very first CSL season.  Good luck girls!

Orange County Kick Off
August 23-24. Seven FC Long Beach teams traveled to Irvine to play at the Orange County Kick Off Tournament, four teams returned back to Long Beach with medals. Congratulations Girls!  You’ve done a great job representing FC Long Beach.

Crown City Classic Champions
Aug 8-9, Coronado, CA - Congratulations to the FCLB GU12 team for playing undefeated and winning the 2008 Crown City Classic!  As always, there was plenty of excitement during their tournament matches.  With a recent promotion to "Silver" level competition, we look forward to the GU12 teams second CSL fall season with much anticipation.

Pyramid Cup Champions

The GU11 team won their 4th consecutive tournament, the Pyramid Cup tournament held in Long Beach, with an undefeated record outscoring their opponents in 4 games 10-2.   The girls are looking forward in taking this momentum into their first fall CSL season. 

Wolfpack Finalists
Just returning back from a summer break, the Boys under 16 team fought hard all weekend to get to the finals of the Wolfpack tournament despite having a limited bench.  Way to go guys!

Irvine Memorial Classic
There were 8 FC Long Beach teams that played in the Memorial Weekend tournament.  Out of those 8 teams, 4 teams made it to the final championship game in their respective flights.  FC Long Beach walked away with 3 First place medals this weekend.  Congratulations to our four teams for making it to the finals.  Way to represent the club and a great way to end the Spring Season

California Cup Champions

The GU15 team won the California Cup tournament in an impressive fashion, outscoring their opponents on a six game stretch, 23-3. The girls will participate in the Regional tournament in June where the winner will advance to the National Cup Tournament in North Carolina. Congratulations girls and good luck in regionals.

State Cup Finals
After an 8-game undefeated State Cup run, our GU12 team made club history by making it to the finals of the prestigious Cal South State Cup Tournament. After a full game of regulation play and two over time periods with a tie score, the game was decided on penalty kicks where our girls fell short by 1 goal. Congratulations Coach Fabian and the Grass Stains for your incredible accomplishment.
